I am happy with this purchase. I have worn them several times. My feet did not hurt and they were very comfortable. My foot runs narrow so there was room to use an extra insole plus a thick pair of socks. These boots are adequate for moderate terrain. Probably would not work for serious hikers on rugged terrain. They are water resistant so I sprayed them with a water repellent to help make them a little more waterproof.
